Tariff Refund Sale

What happened

Arlington Shelves builds its products from imported steel. Like most American businesses that import materials, we pay tariffs at the border. Earlier this year, U.S. Customs reviewed a batch of those payments and issued us a refund on a portion of what we'd paid.

What we decided to do with it

We could have kept it. Most companies do — refunds like this typically go straight to the bottom line, and nobody outside the company would ever know. But the people who ultimately paid those tariffs, in the form of higher shelving prices, were our customers. So we're passing the refund back to the people it actually belongs to.

That's the whole story. No clever marketing math, no inflated original prices, no bundling tricks. A real refund, returned to real customers, at real prices.

What it looks like

Why we're telling you this

Most "sales" are arbitrary markdowns dressed up as urgency. We're not doing that here. There is a specific, finite amount of refunded money behind this promotion, and when it's gone, the sale ends. We think honesty about why we're discounting is more valuable than a flashier banner — and we suspect our customers feel the same way.
